JV's shutout Southmoreland

Jeannette's Damone Morton accounted for two of the JV's six touchdowns in a 40-0 shutout of the Southmoreland Scotties today. He would have had three on the day, but a 61 yard INT return for a touchdown was called back, due to one of those silly - block in the back penalties.

First quarter scores came at the hands of freshmen Terell Canady from 14 yards out, and a QB keeper from sophomore Davey Headen from 15 yards out.

Second quarter scoring included Damone's 10 yard catch (pitchered above) and a 2 yard run from sophomore Michael Edwards while the rest of the scoring was finished off in the third quarter with an opening 82 yard kick off return, compliments of Damone for his second TD of the game and a 11 yard scamper from freshmen Nate Cononico.
