Freshmen leads Hawks in section win

Freshmen Julian Batts led the Hawks with 21 points and senior Demetrius Cox added 20 as Jeannette handed the Trojans of California their first section loss since losing to Frazier on January 10.

California drops to 3-4 in section (8-7 overall) and the road doesn't get any smoother as their next game is against GCC on January 24.

Jeannette keeps pace in the top 3 with a 5-2 section record (9-4 overall) and will travel to (1-6) Beth Center on January 24 before returning home to host Frazier on January 27 with a shot at redemption from a one point loss to Frazier back on January 3.
