Cox returns to lead Hawks

After two consecutive losses consisting of a conference loss to Frazier by a point and a non-conference loss to Shady Side Academy (53-45), Jeannette finds themselves back in the win column and second place in the standings, with a 61-53 final over Brownsville.

Senior Demetrious Cox, who was back in the line up after attending the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Phoenix this past week, scored game high 19 points.

Freshmen Julian Batts contributed 18 and Orlando Morgan added a dozen, while juniors Anthony Canady and Seth Miller combined for another dozen, to round out the scoring.

Next up: Jeannette will travel to Charleroi Jan. 10, to take on the Cougars. Charleroi is currently 4-7 overall with a most recent win over non-conference South Allegheny, 67-50.
