Jeannette Splits Holiday Tournament
After losing 65-52 to Greensburg Salem in the opener of the Christmas Classic, Jeannette was able to split the tournament with a 67-50 win over Mt. Pleasant tonight. And they did it without senior Demetrious Cox. De-de is currently in Arizona in preparation for the Semper Fidelis Bowl to be played on Jan. 3.
But an explosive Duke Brown turned out to be more than enough for Mt Pleasant, who never had a lead in the game. Duke finished the night with 25 points including 1-three pointer leading all scorers.
Duke joined Orlando Morgan and Seth Miller to round out the three Hawks in double digits. Orlando finished with 17 including two 3-pointers while Seth landed 15 points.
Next up for the Hawks: @ Frazier on Jan. 3.
