Cortazzo earns All-State

Jeannette's Kirstie Cortazzo's outstanding efforts in her 2012 campaign at Gannon University, earned her a spot on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Western Division Team

Kirstie led the Lady Knights with a .342 average this season while starting 46 games at second base. The sophomore finished first on the team in slugging percentage (.530), hits (51), RBIs (32), doubles (13) and total bases (79). Her .400 on-base percentage and 33 runs scored were both second-best among the team. Cortazzo hit .385 during 15 conference games this season with three home runs and 13 RBIs and batted .357 with runners on (30-84) and .373 (22-59) with runners in scoring position for the Lady Knights.

New offense may be perfect fit for Hall

"I like being in the open field, just being one-on-one with defenders," Hall recently told ESPN.com. "And that's where they put you. I'm excited." 

Awesome article on Jeannette's Jordan Hall over at espn.com. Makes you a little excited for the upcoming season for  Jordan and the Buckeye's.

Last season with the Buckeye's Jordan had 100 carries for 408 yards and two TDs, he also had 12 receptions for 114 yards and three receiving TDs last season. Not to mention his abilities on kickoff and punt returns.

Cortazzo named PSAC Player of the Week

X-Jayhawk Kirstie Cortazzo, was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Softball Player of the Week.

Kirstie was honored after leading the Gannon softball team to a 3-1 record during two doubleheaders last week, sweeping Seton Hill and splitting a pair of games against California.

Against Seton Hill, Kirstie had a double during a five-run inning for the Lady Knights. In the second game, she was part of Gannon's come-from-behind win as her home run brought the Lady Knights within one. For the day, she had three hits and two RBIs.
