In Jayhawk History - February 4, 2004
On February 4th, 2004 at Jeannette High School's gym Mike Dent broke the all time Jeannette basketball scoring record.
Mike moved the new record number to 1,639 points. He surpassed Adam Bostick's mark that had been in the history books since 1979.
On the night, Mike dumped in 21 points to help the Jayhawks down West Shamokin 61-50 and in the process Jeannette moved their season record to 18-5 overall and 11-2 in section play.
The current all time scoring leader at Jeannette is Terrelle Pryor with 2,285 points.
