In Jayhawk History - November 19, 1994

The Jayawks reached the WPIAL AA Semi-finals on November 19, 1994 when they traveled to Belle Vernon to take on Beth-Center. This game was a re-match from the regular season when Beth-Center prevailed. This time the Jayhawks put the right mix together and defeated Bulldogs 12-7 earning a trip to Three Rivers Stadium to play for the AA Title. The Jayhawks held the high powered Beth Center squad to 136 total yards of offense.
Doug Phillips had touchdown receptions of 12 and 44 yards and gathered a total of 5 catches for 81 yards. Quarterback Gerald Foster tossed both touchdown passes and finished with 12 completions out of 17 throws for 154 yards. Mike Simola had an excellent game along the offensive line, Pat Brennan jumped on a fumble, and Erick Iezzi had an interception.
